The Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society Fund has been established to provide vital support for the day-to-day operations of the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society (PVCHS). This newly created fund will also offer financial assistance for the remodeling or construction of facilities to better house and care for animals.
Dale White, CEO of the Vermillion County Community Foundation, shared, “The establishment of this fund ensures that the Humane Society has resources not only to care for animals today but also to grow and improve its facilities in the future.”
Founded in 1991, the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society opened its shelter in 2000, thanks to strong community support. Since then, the nonprofit organization has served both counties, promoting the humane treatment of animals and preventing cruelty. The PVCHS is dedicated to educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering to control the animal population, providing relief for suffering animals, and building a connection between humans and animals.
