Morgan-Burrows Family Scholarship Fund Established

Elizabeth Morgan Burrows and Steven Burrows have established the Morgan-Burrows Family Scholarship Fund to support students graduating from North Vermillion High School, with priority given to those pursuing careers in healthcare.

Elizabeth, a valedictorian graduate of North Vermillion Jr./Sr. High School, earned degrees from DePauw University and Indiana University, and has built a career dedicated to improving rural healthcare. She previously served as the founding CEO of Valley Professionals Community Health Center, where she expanded services across multiple communities, and now leads Burrows Consulting, helping secure more than $500 million in grant funding nationwide.

Steven Burrows holds degrees from Denison University, Ball State University, and the University of Illinois, and currently teaches English at North Vermillion Jr./Sr. High School. He is also actively involved in extracurricular activities, including the theater department and golf team. Together, the couple hopes to help students navigate their educational journeys and gain practical skills they can carry into their careers as future leaders in their communities and beyond.

Taylor Powell, CEO of the Vermillion County Community Foundation, shared, “The Community Foundation feels privileged to oversee funds that will positively influence students beyond high school. We are grateful to the Burrows family for their generosity and commitment to supporting the educational goals of our community’s youth.”
