The Southeast Fountain Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Western Indiana Community Foundation, has awarded a $1,623 grant to the Fountain Central Summer League to fund the purchase of a new baseball pitching mound and a softball pitching mat to be used at the Kingman ballpark this year.
The Fountain Central Summer League plans to host approximately 10–12 games at the Kingman ballpark this year, with hopes of increasing use in the future.
“We’re proud to support efforts that help the League take the first steps toward bringing regular use back to the Kingman ballpark and creating more opportunities for local athletes,” said Taylor Powell, CEO of the Southeast Fountain Community Foundation. “Providing the right equipment is a simple but important step in making it possible.”
