Vermillion County Community Foundation Awards $1,500 Grant to Cub Scout Pack 464

The Vermillion County Community Foundation has awarded a $1,500 grant to help offset costs for Vermillion County youth to participate in scouting through Cub Scout Pack 464.

The funding will help make scouting more accessible to local families while supporting efforts to grow the program in Vermillion County. Leaders with Cub Scout Pack 464 hope to grow membership and increase the number of service projects the group completes throughout the community.

“Scouting helps young people build character, develop leadership skills, and learn the importance of serving others,” said Taylor Powell, CEO of the Vermillion County Community Foundation. “We are pleased to support Cub Scout Pack 464 as they work to grow scouting opportunities in Vermillion County and encourage youth to make a positive impact in their community.”

Through scouting, youth develop important life skills, learn strong values, and gain opportunities to serve others. Members regularly participate in projects such as litter pick-ups, food drives, and clothing collections, providing direct benefits to the Vermillion County community.
