In memory of longtime Mayor Jack Gilfoy, Jr., family and friends have established the Jack Gilfoy, Jr. Legacy Fund through the Vermillion County Community Foundation. The Fund will initially support the creation and installation of signage for two local landmarks being renamed in his honor: the Jack Gilfoy, Jr. Community Center and the Jack Gilfoy, Jr. Memorial Bark Park.
Once the signage and dedication costs are fully covered, the Fund will support grantmaking that supports human service and community well-being initiatives in Clinton, Indiana, especially those reflecting Mayor Gilfoy’s values and priorities. Some of these may include school lunch programs, KidCare, Autism Speaks, Clinton Clothing Corner, free laundry day events, and local food security efforts.
Contributions to the Jack Gilfoy, Jr. Legacy Fund are tax-deductible and can be made online or mailed to: Vermillion County Community Foundation, ATTN: Jack Gilfoy, Jr. Legacy Fund, PO Box 532, Clinton, IN 47842.
