The Attica Community Foundation is pleased to announce a $30,000 grant to the Attica Youth Baseball/Softball Association to install a new playground at the Happy Walter Field youth sports complex. This addition will provide a safe and accessible recreational space for children in the community while their siblings and peers participate in games and practices.
The new playground will offer a safe, fenced-in space for children to play, socialize, and stay active, enhancing the experience for families who spend many hours at the park each season. The fence will be strategically placed to ensure children can play safely.
Each year, approximately 150 children ages 5–12 participate in t-ball, softball, and baseball at Happy Walter Field. The playground will serve these players, their siblings, friends, and visiting families from Warren and Benton Counties. In addition, it will be available to neighborhood children, making the park an exciting gathering place for the whole community.
