The citizens of Fountain County desire to participate in Fountain County’s 2026 bicentennial celebration, which aims to honor our county’s 200 years of history, and to do so in a way that engages all Fountain County residents and leaves a lasting legacy for future generations.
One of the many events to celebrate this milestone is a full day of activities on May 2, 2026, at the Fountain County Fairgrounds in Veedersburg.
As a result, the Fountain County Bicentennial Celebration Fund has been established to support the activities in Fountain County which are associated with the bicentennial celebration. Some of the funding may go towards parades, legacy projects, entertainment, giveaways, publications, refreshments, and other celebration supplies.
The Bicentennial Committee welcomes donations to the Fund. Contributions are tax-deductible and can be made online or mailed to: Western Indiana Community Foundation, ATTN: Bicentennial Celebration Fund, PO Box 175, Covington, IN 47932.
