ATTICA ENDOWMENT FUNDS

ARTS, CULTURE, and HISTORIC PRESERVATION

Fountain County 1842 Historic Clerk’s Building Fund
Provides funding for operating and maintaining Fountain County’s historic 1842 clerk’s building museum.

Fountain County Art Council Fund
Provides funding for promotion of the visual and performing arts, culture, and historical preservation in the Wabash Valley.

Fountain County Landmarks Fund
Provides financial support for Historic Landmarks of Fountain County, Inc. for projects within Davis, Shawnee and Logan Townships with a primary purpose of assuring the “Old Library” in Attica is maintained for perpetuity.

Historic Sites of Fountain County Fund
Provides financial support for the upkeep and maintenance of historic sites in the Fountain County area.

FAITH

Christian Ministry Fund
Provides assistance for the needs of Christian ministries in the Attica community. Christian churches, ministries and related projects are eligible for grants.

Gideon’s International Fund
Provides funds for the H-R Gideon’s to purchase and distribute Bibles and/or New Testaments worldwide.

First United Methodist Church of Attica Fund
Provides support for the United Methodist Church of Attica through grants to carry out its role and mission.


COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT

Attica Animal Humane Fund*
Provides support to animal welfare causes in the City of Attica and/or Davis, Logan and Shawnee townships. 

Attica Community Fund
Provides grants to meet the ever-changing needs of the Attica community.

Attica Summer Park Program Fund
Provides funding for the operations of the Attica summer youth park program.
 
Ann Shilling Harrison Special Projects Fund
Provides financial support for special projects in the Attica community.

Bank of Western Indiana Projects Fund
Provides support for projects in Fountain County.

Central National Bank Unrestricted Fund*
Provides grants for meeting the changing needs of the Attica community

Charles and Kathryn Howard Memorial for d’Arlier Programs
To support cultural and educational programs held at George d’Arlier properties for the benefit of Veedersburg and surrounding communities.

Community Healthcare Fund*
Provides support for wellness initiatives, health education events and other health related projects for residents of Davis, Logan and Shawnee townships.

Community Improvement Fund
Provides financial support for charitable or other exempt purposes in Attica.

Downtown Façade Restoration Project Fund
For improvements of the downtown area as part of the Downtown Restoration Project.

Family Crisis Shelter Sumption Fund
Provides grants in Fountain County for services to aid victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Harrison Steel Fund
Provides grants for meeting the changing needs of the Attica community.

Marguerite Smith Norman Memorial Fund
Provides assistance with grants to improve the quality of life in the Attica community.

Peggy Poston Fund
To provide grants for meeting the changing needs of the Attica community.

Master Guard Community Projects Fund
Provides financial support for projects in Fountain County for programs including Health and Safety. Also provides support for scholarships for Automotive, Vocational and Mechanical Engineering degrees.

Ravine Park - Arms Woods*
Provides the City of Attica extra money for the improvements of the hiking trails in the Arms Woods section of Ravine Park.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

4-H Foundation Fund
Provides financial support for capital expenditures at the 4-H Fairgrounds and/or award scholarship grants.

4-H Junior Leader’s Fund
Provides financial support for projects and activities of the Fountain County 4-H Junior Leaders.

Sam Miller 4-H Memorial Fund
Provides an annual monetary award to a 4-H member who has excelled in the study of nature, with priority given to forestry, weeds, birds or wildlife programs.

Attica Alumni Association Fund
Provides support for the Attica Alumni Association.

Attica Parks Fund
Provides support for operation and development of programs and facilities of the Attica City Parks.

Attica Public Library Fund
Provides support for the Attica Public Library.

Attica United Fund
Provides support for the United Fund to assist a broad range of current needs for organizations that provide human and social services.

Fountain County ARC Fund
Provides support for projects in the Fountain County Association of Retarded Citizens’ Shawnee Center to carry out and fulfill its role and mission.

Fountain County Art Council
Provides funding to develop an awareness of and participation in visual and performing arts and to increase and/or promote historical preservation and culture within the Wabash Valley area.

George, Marian & Robert Drake Fund
Provides support for the Attica Public Library, the Foundation’s Unrestricted and Administration funds.

Louie & Frances McCauley Fund
Provides support and perpetuation of the Attica Alumni Association.

NICHES Land Protection Fund
Provides support to programs which promote land and wildlife conservation for current and future generations.

Psi Iota Xi – Gamma Delta Chapter Fund
Provides financial support for the Attica Gamma Delta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi to carry out its role and mission.

Wabash Senior Citizens Operations Fund
Provides support for the operations for the Wabash Senior Citizens (Friendship Circle Center) of Fountain County.

Wabash Senior Citizens Field of Interest
Provides support for programs and projects which are of interest to senior citizens at the Friendship Circle Center.


SCHOLARSHIPS
The following scholarships are available to graduating Attica High School Seniors continuing their education by attending an accredited college or university.

Attica Class of 1954 Scholarship Fund
Scholarship for those pursuing an education in a vocational field.

Margaret & Harold Long Horizon Award Fund
Provides an award to an AES 6th grade student and then a scholarship upon graduation from Attica High School if pursing a post-high school education.

James D. Fenters Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarships for Attica High School graduates in the top 15% of their class.  Must be active in school and community organizations.

Keith & Steven Barnhart Scholarship Fund
Scholarship for those pursuing a major or minor in the Arts or Band.

Potawatomi Festival Scholarship Fund
Scholarship for those who exhibits leadership qualities and/or skills in school, community or church activities.

Purdue Opportunity Award Scholarship*
Provides a scholarship to a graduate of a Fountain County high school.
 
Reagan  & Hazel Mallett Scholarship Fund
Scholarship for an applicant majoring in agriculture business operations or agriculture economics.

Rick Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund
Provides a scholarship to an area high school graduate who has resided in Fountain or Warren County. Children and grandchildren of Old National Bank employees supersede other eligible applicants.


EDUCATION

Joan Miller – August Schmid Attica Elementary School Fund
Provides the Elementary School Principal with discretionary funds for the needs of children enrolled in the Attica Elementary School.

Kathy Perry Memorial Education Fund*
Established to provide an annual supply of hardbound books to the libraries of the Attica, Covington and Southeast Fountain Elementary Schools.

Newmark-Fogel Education Fund
Provides funding for educational purposes in the Attica community.

The Children’s Literacy Fund
Provides funding to raise the education level of children third grade and younger in the Attica Consolidated School District.


ADMINISTRATION

Service Fund For Foundation Operations
Provides the donor the opportunity to support the Attica Community Foundation’s internal operations.


*Designates a fund with a balance below $10,000. Grant payments are made when the fund reaches a $10,000 minimum balance for twelve months, unless otherwise specified in the fund agreement.


How to Make a Gift

Contributions to the Attica Community Foundation will be remembered in perpetuity with earnings to permanently support our community. All contributions, any denomination, small or large, when pooled, will provide income to meet charitable needs.
